Day 11 - Identifying Brave Choices

Today, I am challenged with identifying people in my life who make brave choices and list why and/or how they inspire me. I like making lists, although I don’t do it as much as I used to. Lists help keep my thoughts straight and give me a sense of accomplishment. I am going to limit the public list to five people due to the lateness of the day, and to be equitable I have listed them alphabetically.

  1. My friend Aimee is the most outgoing introvert I know but she understands her limits and will focus on self-care.

  2. My spouse Benjamin doesn’t allow the roadblocks he encounters in life to prevent him from reaching his goals.

  3. My brother Davis Jr. pursued his passion, even though it took him to a new state, far away from friends and family.

  4. My former workplace proximity associate Kelly asks tough questions that push people outside their comfort zone to think about situations in new and innovative ways.

  5. My forever work wife Rosa makes a conscious choice every day to prioritize her family in a way that I have come to mirror.

I am grateful for the lessons I can glean from the five people I listed above and the countless other amazing people in my life; each person I surround myself with inspires me in different ways.
