Day 51 – Ruminating on My Journey

Today, I am challenged to ruminate on the past fifty days to discern my biggest win. When I first began this challenge, I was invigorated by the idea of addressing my fears by sharing them with the world. I knew it was a daunting task, but I also knew that I was up for the challenge.

While listening to an audio book earlier this summer, I was advised as an aspiring author to create a website so that I could begin to attract a readership before my book was completed. This way, when I have a product to share with the world, I am not starting my marketing feats from scratch.

I created a website, complete with a professional resume page, a quirky page for pre-marketing my book, a mental health resources page, and this blog. I didn’t know what I was going to blog about except perhaps my experience writing the book the website was designed for. And then I read the book Hello, Fears and everything changed.

I knew that I wanted to not only complete the challenge, but that I wanted to use this opportunity to add content to my webpage. I still have a lot of learning to do and a long journey ahead, but I have been happy with how it has turned out so far. I am glad that I pursued this adventure and I look forward to the next [almost] fifty days.
