Day 24 - Sharing my Sheets
Today’s challenge is to write down a list of things that make me feel emotionally restored, and then write a second list of things that emotionally drain me.
Holly’s Happy Sheet
My top love language is GIFTS. I love receiving thoughtful gifts, homemade goodies and upcycled trinkets. I am a collector. I also like to give gifts to others.
I love physical touch; it’s my second-highest love language. I crave HUGS but I will also gratefully accept HIGH FIVES. Strangers, please ask before embracing me, but I’m probs going to say, ‘bring it!’
I like to feel accepted and supported. Sharing kind words and positive shout-outs build me up. I appreciate private and public recognition. I don’t really like to toot my own horn, but I am here for it when others tell me good stuff about me.
I love to do good work for others. I am passionate about helping to improve the lives of homeless and unhoused individuals in my community and across the country, but I struggle with how to best create lasting progress. If you have ideas, let’s work together.
I love to learn about people doing good work in the world. I’ve been known to cry happy tears while watching a heartwarming video. If you haven’t seen the “Look Maggie, I’m walking!” video, find it and watch it.
Print me or text me pictures of adorable animals – As an example, today is baby Fritz the hippo’s 1st birthday and I will be looking at the zoo live feed several times throughout the day to observe how they celebrate. I’ll probably post pictures, memes, or gifs of Fritz.
I love all things Supernatural, Grey’s Anatomy, Gilmore Girls, and The Vampire Diaries. I also love stickers, affirmations, and gifs/memes. Just sayin’…
Holly’s Crappy Sheet
I disapprove of people using religious conviction as a defense when persecuting others. To provide me with tools to better understand others, I minored in Religion Studies in college. I’m disappointed to share it didn’t help but I learned a lot!
I resist authority figures who attempt to force me or others into a mold of their design. Thank goodness for those in positions of power who have chosen to accept me as I am and have helped me thrive in a corporate environment.
It bums me out when people get down on themselves because of their perceptions of how others view them. Baby, you are a beautiful person, and you were born that way.
I kept these two lists succinct but I’m sure I could add to both lists. I suggest you give this a try and share your lists with those you are close to, to help them better fill up your bucket.
