Day 26 - Moving Forward

Today I am challenged to explore how my choices affect my ability to move forward. This is something I’ve had at the forefront recently because of a five-day leadership conference I attended this week called the Own Your Future Challenge.

This conference was facilitated by masterminds Dean Graziosi and Tony Robbins and included several speakers from different niches within the self-education industry. On the first day I grabbed a notebook from the shelf behind my desk to have something to take notes on. I filled that notebook up!

It is interesting that today’s challenge uses phrasing that compliments my biggest takeaway from the Own Your Future Challenge conference.

Always. Move. Forward.

In a peculiar twist, I heard a similar phrase this past week from a supporting character in the first episode of Luke Cage, a show hailing from the darker side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Forward. Always.

In our lifetimes, we may find ourselves in situations that aren’t ideal, but we can choose how we perceive ourselves within the context of these situations and we can choose how we respond to help us continue on our path.

Every day, I make a conscious choice to focus on the positive, amidst the heaviness of the challenging times we live in. I acknowledge this ongoing "shitshow" but I refuse to let it consume me. Instead, I channel my energy into finding ways to stay resilient and ensure that the weight of it all doesn't break me down.

We can each create small ripples of hope and positivity amidst the chaos if we are intentional in our actions and if we always move forward, together.
