Day 45 – Forgiving my Inner Troll
Today's challenge pushed me to do something incredibly powerful – forgiving my own inner troll. Below is my letter to myself.
Dear Holly,
I admire your courage in confronting your inner troll and taking steps towards self-forgiveness. It is not always easy to acknowledge our own shortcomings and challenges, but you are on a meaningful journey of self-improvement and growth.
Remember that setting ambitious goals is a sign of your aspiration and determination. While it is important to be realistic about what you can achieve in a given timeframe, don't forget that progress is a step-by-step process. Each step forward, no matter how small, brings you closer to your dreams and steps backwards provide opportunities for growth.
Your desire to be an author, to write books that inspire and help others, master an instrument, and create a better world for your son is truly commendable. By acknowledging your inner critic and promising to approach your goals with more understanding and compassion, you are creating a healthier and more supportive mindset for yourself.
As you continue on this journey, please remember that self-forgiveness is an ongoing practice. Be patient with yourself and celebrate your successes, no matter how minor they might seem. You are capable of great things, and the effort you're putting into personal growth will undoubtedly make a positive impact on your life and the lives of those around you.
Stay resilient, stay compassionate, and keep moving forward.
With love,
Me
